Earlier, during her trip to India, she disclosed that her wedding is going to be in Indian style. Since Lisa Ray’s father is a Bengali, her mother is Polish, and her beau Jason’s family is of Lebanese descent, the marriage ceremony was a mix of cultures but there was an Indian touch as well with mehendi and sangeet.
So, what did the bride wear? For the white wedding she wore a crystal-encrusted gown by close friend and designer Wendell Rodricks, while for the reception she was seen in an exquisite custom-made Satya Paul sari.
While for her sangeet, on October 19, she was reportedly in a Tarun Tahiliani anarkali.
As per reports, the ceremonies were attended by 110 guests from the family and friends. Gia Sandhu, daughter of Lisa's oldest friend and writer, Devyani Saltzman, delivered spiritual messages. Besides spirituality, the guests were served Mediterranean and Indian dishes.
Some of Lisa’s close Indian friends like Rahul Khanna, Deepa Mehta and Wendell Rodricks couldn’t attend the wedding, but they wished her on Twitter. Lisa wrote to Deepa Mehta, “Love you Deepa! The Rani has found her Raja...”
The actress is become an ambassador of hope for many living with Cancer, and is a wonder woman. After her marriage to Jason Dehni, she tweeted a picture of her with Jason, and wrote, “Rebounding back into life with the love of my life @jasondehni in the presence of One collective heartbeat. #loveisreal.”
