Vivienne Westwood - Write for Rights 2012

Published on Nov 23, 2012 by HumanTV
In December 2011 Azza Suleiman attended a large protest near Tahrir Square. As she started to leave, she saw a group of soldiers violently beat and strip another female protestor.
Concerned, Azza and some others tried to help carry the woman away. But the soldiers reacted violently: they beat Azza so severely that she lost consciousness. Even then they did not stop.
Their attack was so vicious it left Azza with a fractured skull and impaired memory.
In this film, made especially for Amnesty International, Vivienne speaks about how important she thinks it is to help other people just as Azza tried to do.
Join Vivienne and help Azza get justice. As part of Amnesty International's Write for Rights campaign they are asking you to send Azza a card to let her know that she is not alone and that people all around the world are looking out for her.
