So this is what I was thinking

I was checking out the videos on YouTube Friday evening. I needed somethin to cheer me up. Earlier in the day it had been reported that the nurse who had answered the prank telephone call fro the two Australian DJ's comitted suicide, apparently she had been so shamed by the senseless prank she felt there was no other way out. 

Clearly this is illustrative of a deeper psychological issue.  Nonetheless there may have been cultural actors hat contributed to this tragedy. This is exactly why those two white radio personalities should exercise discretion and not assume that everyone who do not share their cultural norms and values will react to their tricks benignly.

Jacintha Saldanha was well respected by her colleagues and will be sorely missed.

The hospital said in a statement: ““We can confirm the tragic death of a member of our nursing staff, Jacintha Saldanha."

”Jacintha has worked at the King Edward VII Hospital for more than four years," the statement read. "She was an excellent nurse and a well-respected and popular member of staff with all her colleagues. We can confirm that Jacintha was recently the victim of a hoax call to the hospital. The hospital has been supporting her at this difficult time.”
