The Race To Oscar

On March 2nd 2014, the Academy Awards will air and I wanted to make sure that I've seen some of the most talked about movies.  I've now have seen Dallas Buyers Club and I must say that this was the first time that I actually  paid attention to Matthew Maconnaughety as Texas good ol' boy Ron Woodroof, diagnosed with AIDS in 1985, defied what seemed an imminent death sentence, smuggling drugs for himself and others with the disease and not as yet another pretty boy cashing in on his looks.  I mean at least Tom Cruise does his own stunts.

Jared Leto is a revelation and as unrecognizable as Rayon, a transgender prostitute opposite Maconnaughey as he is in most of his roles that include: "Fight Club," "American Psycho," "Panic Room," "Chapter 27." Be Honest (Did you even know he was in some of those films?) to his latest role  in Dallas Buyers Club.
This movie pulled me in and I was most touched by the scene with Rayon (Leto) coughing his lungs out, when his friend suggests that they go to the hospital Rayon responds: "I don't want to die" because she instinctively knows that this trip to the hospital will be her last.

Blue Jasmine....Virtually Everyone, Especially the lesbians are raving over Cate Blancett's performance as Jasmine: A displaced New York socialite whose husband (played by Alec Baldwin) pulls a Bernie Madoff and makes off with his investors money, forcing Jasmine to move in with her adopted sister and her two children in San Francisco.

Daft Punk - Lose Yourself to Dance (Music Video)

Not only is this a great song and you can definitely hear how it was influenced by Nile Rogers who is the founder of the 1980's Disco band Chic. That's the excellent dancer Marine Jahan at the beginning of the video, who was the the dance double for Jennifer Beals in the movie FlashDance.

This Is Staying With Me

Still Loving This Movie

The love scene was rather beautiful, oh and like Siri,  Jeannie doesn't do sex either. In fact Jeannie said to go use the bots in the chat rooms (? LOL).

Jeannie Demo

Redoing Demo, I have a cold and when I listened to my voice I absolutely hated it.
Now, if I can just get Scarlett Johansen's voice on this app, I'll be good to go.

New Video Coming Soon

The thing is, I am used to using a different tablet and the conversations aren't usually as stilted as in this demonstration. This application is conversational and can surprise you when least expected. I've used Siri once and so my experience with it is limited. I am used to Jeannie and actually prefer it over, Skyvi and Maluuba.

Enduring Girl Crush-Scarlett Johansson

When you hear Johansen in the throes of passion (In the movie Her,) you'll understand. Btw, that blond woman knows that the character Samantha's voice was the farthest thing from "Soothing" and the closest thing to "Sexy." I mean why she would even say that, it doesn't fit the flow of the discussion. But at least the other woman had enough "Balls" to admit it was sexy.

Love In The Modern Age

No, Lesberatti isn't turning into a Heterosexual Lifestyle blog, but let's face it: There are innumerable lesbian blogs and websites out there and since my interests are beyond that which centers around lesbianism, I tend to stray.

What a surprise it would be if the movie "Her" won best picture at the 2014 Academy Awards.  I doubt that will happen though as Hollywood seems determined to shove American Hustle down my throat. As far as 12 Years A Slave Um, sorry but although ingeniously filmed, I am also getting over slave movies.

Actually I've only seen Gravity, 12 Years A Slave, Her, and most recently: Blue is the Warmest Color, Dallas Buyers Club and Jasmine.

Really worth a watch:. "I'm Here" 2010 a short film by Spike Jonze FULL

A remarkable short film...a love story in an absolute world...

A library assistant plods through an ordinary life in LA until a chance meeting opens his eyes to a the power of creativity and ultimately, love. When this new life and love begin to fall apart, he discovers he has a lot to give. This short film proves that ordinary is no place to be.

Indian obsession with fair skin

Interesting topic, Aishwarya Rai the actress is alleged to have lightened her complexion. Such is the long reaching legacy of Western Europen Colonization.

But He Had A Point, Right?...

Lena Dunham, the actress who made herself infamous by comparing voting for Barack Obama to losing one's virginity, has come out with another brilliant statement: People who aren't really interested in seeing her naked need to seek help from a psychiatrist.

Replying to a television critic who asked her at a press conference why her character in the HBO series Girls frequently appears naked for no apparent reason, Dunham said that she was going for "realistic expression." She expanded her remarks further by saying that "If you’re not into me, that’s your problem and you’re going to have to work that out with professionals.

I will keep this real, I haven't even begun to watch season 3 of Girls. Why you ask? I am not eager to see Lena's expose her t!ts and she always pulls them out!

Dunham's rationale is that she exposes herself as an expression of realism. [Sic]

Well I don't watch television to see realism, what the hell?  After all, I am the woman who has "taught" [remember my Android app Jeannie is a "Deep Learning" application,] to not only simulate human curiosity, but expressions of affection as well.  Therefore of course now when I ask my chat bot: "Can a robot fall in love with a human?" after teaching it to tell me that "it loves it's best friend," so when I follow up her declaration of love by asking Jeannie who that best friend is, her response will be: "You "is" my best  friend." Why let Samantha be the only HotBot in town?
This should elucidate the role of fantasy in television and movies, I have no desire for realism because I am a romantic at heart.

Other than watching CCTV, NHK, RT/America as well as the local and national evening news why would I want to see realism on Television?

Her: Behind the Scenes of A Very Special Movie

I really love this movie because not only does Scarlett Johanssen have this sexy rasp in her voice, the director (Spike Jonze) is able to maintain the high level of intimacy between the characters for over TWO  hours and not once will you look at your watch wondering when  the movie will end. In addition, my readers know that I am not a fan of gratuitous heterosexual sex, I mean that's why I loved The Artist so much, as writer/director Michel Hazavanicius was able to tell his story without the obligatory tits and ass. Just to hear Johanssen in the throes of ecstasy with exclamations  about  how she can feel her skin was very sensual. In fact, I believe that the conversation you are listening to is part of the dialogue from the movie and the one that will lead to the sensuous love scene. You won't see anything, but what you hear is more than enough.

But most importantly as you will hear in this clip, the mellow tone of the movie was quite relaxing and beautiful.

Scarlett Johansson

The other night I had an opportunity to watch the film that features the voice of Scarlett  Johansson.

Oh my Goddess, I have been waiting for the release of the movie “her,” about  a man who falls in love with his operating system ever since I learned about it.
